Research area: Political Theory and Philosophy. The affinities between Max Weber’s and Walter Benjamin’s critiques of Modernity, with focus on the fields of capitalism, law, technique, and politics.

‘Max Weber allows us to understand the genesis of modern society and the transformations it entails. In an effort to unravel the possibilities of politics within the conditions imposed by capitalism, technique, and modern law, he shows that modern political reflection must consider the dimensions of social life. He teaches us that politics should be understood as an action in this world and for this world: an action to give the world a meaning it lacks.’
