Research area: Participation in the scientific, philological-critical edition of the “Max Weber-Gesamtausgabe” (MWG) as a research assistant, technical editor, and especially as editor of the texts on the “Sociology of Domination”. Current project: the digital edition of the MWG and responsible for the research documentation of the BAdW.

I consider Max Weber to be one of the most versatile and best thinkers of modernity. Unfortunately, many Germans do not know what intellectual treasure we have with his work. For this reason, I appreciate the exchange with researchers from all over the world and am convinced that the investigation of Weber’s international reception is an exciting field of research. Which texts and ideas of Max Weber were read, translated, and criticized where, when, and why? For me, working with Max Weber means permanent learning. In my opinion, his categories and questions enable a deeper understanding of structures, of cultural, historical and social differences. And last but not least, for me, Max Weber stands for freedom, freedom of thought and political freedom. Both absolutely belong together, as we have to learn again today.
