Research area: Sociology, ontological anthropology, the impact of industrial revolutions on social-political thought and possible political futures (Charbonnier), and sociological/psychological analyses of the emergence of right-wing populism in the United States.

‘I studied at the New School for Social Research under Benjamin Nelson, a Weber and Freud scholar.  Weber’s analysis of rationalization processes is still for me the key to understanding our contemporary dilemmas, most particularly as we enter an era of the prospect of climatic catastrophe.’
